Welcome to Friar Beat!

Hello and welcome to Friar Beat from yours truly, Ralf Shockey! I am so excited to be launching this blog website to share all things Providence College men's basketball with you for the foreseeable future.

This past May I graduated from PC with a B.S. in Marketing. Over my four years in Friartown I created my own podcast (Talkin' Friars), was a Sportswriter for The Cowl, and the Sports Editor. Not only this, but most importantly I attended as many men's basketball games as possible and rooted my heart out for the Friars at the AMP.

After developing a passion for sportswriting and now being an alum, I wanted to continue that passion in some shape or form. Hence the birth of Friar Beat.

Through this blog website I will be covering the team from game previews and recaps, Big East news, recruiting news, and everything else in between. I am so glad that you are here and can't wait to share everything that transpires this upcoming season!
